THANK YOU     THANK YOU      THANK YOU

Thank you to everyone for making the 2007 NWBRA Finals GREAT!!! Every entry, everyone who set up a barrel, opened a gate, and everything else that needed done and got done. Our directors worked very hard to make things run smoothly all weekend. A special thanks to outgoing directors. Alyce Hager of MT thanks for doing a great job on the membership card . Rhonda Livingstone of ID thanks for setting 3rd barrel for many hours at a time and helping in the office. Elaine Hollings WY. for doing a great job on the silent auction and making it a success. Sunday Bossert SD along with her husband Chuck for a great job on the stalls and sawdust. Your shoes will be very hard to fill, thanks girls. Along with Carey Mackey , Ellen Allemand, Nicole Joesph, Lisa Lammers, Sammy Meeks, Brenda Rettinger, thanks for everything you did all year and at the finals. Bobby Jo Heald did a great job of announcing, keeping the runners on task, making so many runs move along in a timely manner. Thanks Bobby Jo.

The complex ground crew worked hard to keep the ground good for each of us.They sure go beyond the call of duty. Thanks guys.
Thanks to Deana Steel and Mary Vroman for all their hard work in the office. Scott Mackey for working the Thur. nite jackpot and helping
announce. Thanks to all of our producers for putting on so many great barrel races through out the year. Looking forward to many more in 2008.

The board will be meeting in Nov. to start working on the 2008 finals. If you have any sujestion or comments please contact your state director or myself. I would like to say thank you again to everyone .

Thank You

Lorita Crofford  NWBRA president

"Wow" that is the only way to describe the 2007 NWBRA finals. The association boasted 355 entries in the open 4D. Held at the Cam-plex in Gillette Wyoming, where again our hats are off to the staff that works incredibly hard to see that the facility from the stalls to the ground is excellent.

Loritta Crofford, Carey Mackey, the directors and volunteers have done a super job working with the Cam-plex staff to put on the best finals the association has held. Forever growing and learning this association is just getting better and better.

At the general meeting on Friday evening Loritta Crofford presented the membership with the rules of incorporation and stated the association had filed the proper tax returns. The treasures report was handed out to members that were interested.

The amount that a producer can hold out of a sanctioned barrel race was discussed and the association feels that the producers have the right to withhold as they see fit to keep their races running. If you need more information about much is being held out and the rules of a barrel race please contact that producer.

Nominations were taken for new state directors and voting boxes were set up by the office for the members to vote over the weekend.

This year barn 3 was added for the use of the contestants. On the cool and yes a bit windy mornings it was wonderful to have that option to warm up in.

Chubs Grub was on the job from early in the morning until things wrapped up at night. Those steak sandwiches were awesome. Thanks for the good food and hot coffee (or cocoa).

Bobbie Heald as always has done a wonderful job keeping things moving smoothly and people were they needed to be. Bobbie - you are awesome!

Scott Mackey filled in the at announcer's booth, the office, at the gate and were ever else he was needed. It was greatly appreciated - Thanks Scott!

Linda Rittenberger had an accident on Thursday evening at the first barrel. We are all thankful that she was not badly injured and back on her horse for the weekend. Sunday Bossert had a collision with the gate on Saturday. Some serious bruises appeared over a fractured cheek bone and laughing was a chore for her because of broken ribs. She will be recovering for a while but she did spend the weekend with us.

This year the board of directors awarded vests to producers from each state and coats to the top in the association. There were 3 categories. Most Barrel Races Produced, Highest Number of Entries and a State Producer. These NWBRA producers received awards at the NWBRA finals.

The NWBRA would like to thank each of our producers - without you we could not have such a wonderful association.

Thank you to everyone at and elswhere the night I got hurt at the finals on Oct. 13th while coming home from my run on Sabre. It goes back to what a great organization we have. Thank you to the dozen or more people who offered to take Sabre and get her back to my stall and take care of her. Where else could you have that many friends that you didn't know you had. To all the people who helped me out before the ambulance came. And to all the people who checked on me when I got back, and offered there help if I needed it. Also to Reets and Lynn for riding my horses for me, Thank you. I am feeling better, but won't be on my horse for awhile. Ribs hurt but face only hurts when I eat.  Thank you again Sunday Bossert

I had a great time at Gillette at the NWBRA Finals. It was well ran and I am ready to go back next year. Sorry I did not stay for the awards, the gals that were traveling with me had to work the next day so they wanted to go home. The 4D breast collar is in Belvidere I just have to go pick it up, I understand it is VERY nice,  Thank you, Roxie Fox

Just wanted all of the NWBRA officers and directors to know how much I appreciated all of the work you all put into the finals at Gillette. The event was terrific and so much fun to see all of the barrel racers and their great horses again. Thank you for the beautiful breast collar I received on Jake in the senior division. Thanks to all the people who put the approved barrel racings during the year too....It takes alot of volunteers and commitment to make these things work....You all are super!!!! Happy Trails Janie Norlin

Thanks so much for the vest, what a nice touch! I was really looking long and hard at those vests the other day, glad I did not buy one! I really appreciated it.

I want to say thank you very much for chosing me as the 2007 Wyoming Producer.  The vest I received was way more than I expect. What a great prize!  I believe this association is headed in a very positive direction with a lot of help and achievements by it's directors.  Thanks again!  Your work is very much appreciated!Thank You, Codi Gines

Thanks, so much for the Producer Vest.  What a nice surprise.  Sounds like you had a great finals.  Keen and I will get our act together soon and join up w/ all of our ole Barrel Racing Buddies.  We miss you guys!  Thanks, again....Kelli and family

I left the finals before the open awards were given out so I didn't realize the directors received the Carhart vests!  My friend Linda Girrard gave me my vest last week, what a pleasant surprise!  I wanted to thank whomever got those for us.  If they were donated I'd like to send a thank you.  Also, thanks to Roper for donating the 4 western shirts we received.  The finals was a huge success and the prizes were awesome!  The NWBRA is such a great association and it's been a pleasure to be associated with it as a director.  Hat's off to those directors that did so much more work than I did! You really do rock!
